Actor Kim Mu Yeol has confirmed his appearance in Netflix’s upcoming medical drama First Doctor , where he will show a different side of his acting.

Kim Mu Yeol recently delivered a powerful performance as Na Hwa Jin, an inspector from the Teacher Rights Protection Bureau, in the Netflix series Teach You a Lesson . After portraying a character defined by strong charisma and sharp judgment, he will now transform into a doctor with warmth, humor and an approachable personality.

First Doctor is set in a pediatric surgery department facing a serious crisis. The drama follows children standing between life and death, as well as the medical professionals fighting to protect them. The story will center on Heo Ji Wan, a doctor pushed to the edge, while exploring both the difficult reality and hope found in the medical field.

Kim Mu Yeol will play Bae Su Wol, a professor of anesthesiology and pain medicine at Yeonhwa University Hospital. He is a longtime colleague of Heo Ji Wan and supports those around him with his medical skills, relaxed personality and natural friendliness.

The role is expected to highlight a softer and more cheerful charm than Kim Mu Yeol’s recent intense characters. Jung Ryeo Won, Ha Yoon Kyung, Baek Hyun Jin and Kim Jong Soo have also confirmed their appearances, raising expectations for the cast’s acting chemistry.

First Doctor is currently in production ahead of its Netflix release.
