Broadcast Kim Min-ah and Super Junior member Hee-chul bickered like siblings on a TV program.
On the August 12th broadcast of KBS Joy program “20th Century Hit Song”, Kim Boo-yong’s “Poverty midst Plenty”, which was released in 1995, was ranked 7th in Korea’s top scene stealer hit song.
“Poverty midst Plenty” is the title song of Kim Boo-yong’s 2nd album, which basically sparked “the Mambo craze” in the 90s with its exciting mambo rhythm and dance. At the time, Lee Seon-jung took the stage as Mambo Girl and gathered a lot of attention.
Hearing this, Kim Min-ah, who was wearing the same outfit as Lee Seon-jung, immediately bragged, to which Kim Hee-chul said jokingly: “The clothes are the same, but the visuals are different. Lee Seon Jung is very pretty”.
Kim Min-ah then argued: “I’m very pretty too! Can’t you see me? Watch me right now!!”, to which Kim Hee-chul replied while smiling: “I’m just kidding, you look skinny.”
On the other hand, “20th Century Hit Song” is a new concept newtro music chart show that quenches the thirst for newtro songs that the public wants by recalling and reinterpreting KBS’s old K-pop programs, which contains the history of Korea music.
