Kim Jong-soo Mentions Special Friendship With BLACKPINK’s Jisoo, “We Got Close After Filming ‘Snowdrop’”

Actors Lee Dong-hwi And Kim Jong-soo talked about their connections with Choi Min-sik and BLACKPINK’s Jisoo

SBS Power FMs’s “Cultwo Show” broadcast on October 4th featured the guest appearance of actors Lee Dong-hwi and Kim Jong-soo, the two main characters of the movie “Dr. Cheon and Lost Talisman”.

“Dr. Cheon and Lost Talisman” is about fake exorcist Dr. Cheon (Kang Dong-won) who cannot see ghosts but solves the case with ghost-like insight and is commissioned for a powerful possession case. Lee Dong-hwi played Dr. Cheon’s partner Inbae, while Kim Jong-soo portrayed Hwang, an antique store owner who has known Dr. Cheon for a long time.

Prior to this movie, Lee Dong-hwi was praised for his acting as Jeongpal in Disney+’s “Big Bet”. Regarding the shocking ending where Jeongpal betrayed Cha Moo-sik (Choi Min-sik), Lee Dong-hwi said, “Everyone I met would look at me and ask, ‘Why did you do that, Jeongpal?’”, adding “I actually get along well with senior actor Choi Min-sik”.

In the case of “Dr. Cheon and Lost Talisman”, the movie has been arousing keen attention with its splendid cameo lineup. In particular, Jisoo, a member of the popular girl group BLACKPINK, appeared as a fairy.

Kim Jong-soo then mentioned his special relationship with Jisoo, saying “After hearing the news, I texted Jisoo and asked, ‘Did you read the scenario?’. Jisoo replied that she hadn’t read it yet and promised to meet on the set”. As everyone looked so surprised, he explained, “Jisoo and I worked together in the drama ‘Snowdrop’ and became close. We still keep in touch with each other”. 

Revealing that he even received an invitation to BLACKPINK’s concert. The actor shared, “I went to such a place for the first time in my life. I was waving the lightstick in the standing area”. 

Kim Jong-soo then chose Jisoo’s solo track “Flower” as his favorite song among all of BLACKPINK’s performances.
