On October 6 (KST), Kim Jong-kook was seen at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles, attending the LAFC vs. Atlanta match. The appearance immediately drew attention when he was captured on the stadium’s broadcast camera, smiling and waving at cheering fans.
The main reason for his visit? To support LAFC player Son Heung-min, who is currently active in the U.S. league. While Kim Jong-kook’s presence delighted fans, many were curious that his wife was not seen accompanying him.
“He looked really happy and relaxed — definitely like someone enjoying newlywed life,” shared one fan who attended the match.
Kim Jong-kook married his non-celebrity girlfriend on September 5 in a private ceremony in Seoul. Despite circulating rumors claiming his wife is 20 years younger or a CEO of an LA cosmetics brand, Kim Jong-kook denied them, saying, “Those rumors are not true.”
After his wedding, Kim Jong-kook expressed heartfelt emotions to fans via his official fan café, writing, “I’m getting married. It’s my 30th debut anniversary, and though I didn’t make an album this year, I’ve made my other half. Please bless this new beginning. I’ll live diligently and gratefully as always.”
