Kim Jae-joong Reveals Difficulties When Having His Sperm Frozen, “It Hurts My Mind”
Singer Kim Jae-joong met with Kang Nam on a YouTube content and told an anecdote of when he had his sperm frozen
On July 15th, the YouTube channel “Kangnami” uploaded a video featuring the guest appearance of Kim Jae-joong.
In the video, Kang Nam said, “I watched it. You froze it”, referring to the story of Kim Jae-joong freezing his sperm. In response, Kim Jae-joong said, “But it was removed this year. It was expired. It’s the freshest for three years. If you want to keep it on purpose, it could be five years”. He added, “Many people do it these days to leave a gene when they’re young and healthy”, explaining why he got his sperm frozen.
Kang Nam then asked, “But how do you extract them?”. Surprised by the sudden question, Kim Jae-joong replied, “I never got this kind of question. How would they extract them? Like this? Please edit all of this out. It’s so embarrassing”.
He confessed, “It’s a bit harder to extract eggs. Extracting sperm is not painful but it hurts my mind. I went to a clinic with a cap and a mask, then, I was in the waiting room, and they called me, ‘Mr. Kim Jae-joong’. I was so shameful. Everyone was looking at me.”
Lastly, Kim Jae-joong shared, “I think it’s good. I could make a copy of me someday. I want my genes to remain a tiny bit”. Hearing that, the production staff responded, “That’s right”, drawing laughter.
