Ahead of its premiere on June 23, JTBC’s new show Love War released a preview clip titled “Kim Heechul’s Unshakable Idol Persona… Facing a Dangerous Breakdown!?”
In the teaser, Kim Heechul playfully claimed, “I’m an idol, so I don’t know anything about dating. I’m 44 years old, but I still don’t know,” drawing laughs as his statement sharply contrasted with the countless revelations he has made over the years on Knowing Bros.
However, Heechul quickly switched gears, openly sharing stories from his romantic past. He surprised viewers with bold confessions such as, “Fold your fingers if you’ve kissed in a movie theater,” “My first relationship was with an older woman I met at a nightclub,” “You should kiss at least once,” and “I was happy when my girlfriend paid for my PC café membership.”

The singer continued sharing personal memories, saying, “Just grabbing the steering wheel knowing I was going to see my girlfriend would make my whole body react,” and recalling how he would always make time to send messages despite a busy schedule, adding, “Even when I was busy, I’d text her somehow and say, ‘I’m going into filming for Star King now.’”
Hearing his stories, Lee Hyori jokingly speculated about his ex-girlfriend, teasing, “She must’ve been the leader of some girl group.”

Caught off guard, Kim Heechul immediately looked flustered and responded, “That’s not it. There’s no way out of this.”
Lee Hyori then jokingly escalated the situation, saying, “Perfect. Today, I’m going to expose everything and create a scandal for you.” In response, Kim Heechul laughed nervously and pleaded, “Why did you invite me here? Please edit everything out.”
Meanwhile, Love War is scheduled to premiere on June 23 at 8:50 PM KST.
