Kim Hee-sun to make her first comeback on the big screen after 19 years, forming a couple with Yoo Hae-jin

Actress Kim Hee-sun has been cast in the new Korean film “Sweet Sea”. This is her first movie comeback in 19 years since the “The Man Who Went to Mars”, which was released in 2003.

According to a report from OSEN on May 21st, Kim Hee-sun received a casting offer from the production team of “Sweet Sea” and has also finished reviewing with a positive attitude. The actress herself also raised high expectations for her return to the film industry.

“Sweet Sea” is a romantic comedy about the romance between a single mother who raises her child alone and a confectionery company researcher, who has never dated before. Kim Hee-sun will play the single mother and portray a romance with Yoo Hae-jin.

Hit movie director Lee Han, who was behind the success of famous films, such as, “Lovers’ Concerto” (2002), “Almost Love” (2006), “Punch” (2011), “Thread of Lies” (2013), “A Melody to Remember” (2016), “Innocent Witness” (2019), etc., will take the megaphone for this new movie.

In addition, the script is written by Lee Byeong-heon, who is known for “Extreme Job” (2019), “What a Man Wants” (2018), “Twenty” (2015), and “Cheer Up Mr.Lee” (2013). The movie will be produced by movie company Movie Rock and distributed by Mindmark.

“Sweet Sea” was originally scheduled to crank in December last year, but its filming will be done in three months starting from this June due to the delayed casting process.
