Kep1er Extends Contracts & Continues Activities With 7 Members Except Kang Ye-seo And Mashiro

Despite the extension of their contracts, Kep1er will be reorganized into a group of 7 members as Kang Ye-seo and Mashiro withdrew

According to the exclusive report by StarNews on May 16th, it has been confirmed that the girl group Kep1er will be reorganized from being a group of 9 members to a seven-member group.

In particular, Kang Ye-seo and Mashiro will leave Kep1er and join the girl group LimeLight under their original agency 143 Entertainment. 143 Entertainment is currently the management company of the boy group iKON.

Kep1er is a multinational project girl group formed through Mnet’s survival program “Girls Planet 999”, which ended in October 2021. They debuted in January 2022 with an activity period of two and a half years.

According to the plan, Kep1er’s contract will end in July 2024. However, the CEOs of the members’ agencies got together to positively discuss the extension of the project group’s activities. In the end, seven out of nine members successfully renewed their contracts. Kep1er is the first idol group created by an audition program to extend their contract.

Kep1er will release their first full album “Kep1going On” on June 3rd.
