On May 30th, WAKEONE and Swing Entertainment announced, “Choi Yu-jin, Xiaoting, Kim Chae-hyun, Kim Da-yeon, Hikaru, Huening Bahiyyih and Seo Young-eun, who are currently active as Kep1er, have agreed to extend their group activities with a re-contract.“
Accordingly, Kep1er will continue their activities domestically and internationally as a 7-member group even after the end of their initial project group period. Mashiro and Kang Ye-seo’s final activities with Kep1er will be the release of the first full album “Kep1going On” on June 3rd and concert in Japan in July.
WAKEONE and Swing Entertainment stated, “We have had long and in-depth discussions with Mashiro, Kang Ye-seo and their agency about their future activities. Ultimately, their activities with Kep1er will conclude. We sincerely thank Mashiro and Kang Ye-seo for their dedication over the past two and a half years and will continue to support them.“
With Kep1er being the first Mnet project group to successfully renew their contract, their upcoming domestic activities as a complete 9-member group after 9 months are expected to gain additional momentum.
Kep1er plans to intensify their domestic activities with the release of their first full album “Kep1going On” on June 3rd. In July, they will meet Japanese fans at a concert in the 20,000-capacity Japan K-Arena Yokohama.
