On April 14, aespa’s official YouTube channel uploaded a video titled “Practice Is the Shortcut to Passing,” showing Karina preparing for her driving test.
In the video, Karina was seen visiting a practice center and steadily working toward both the written and practical exams, drawing attention with her determination.
What especially moved fans was her reason for pursuing a license. Karina explained, “I still live with my grandmother. I was reading a book recently, and it had a story about going on a drive with a grandmother.” She continued, “Before she gets older, I really want to have her sit in the passenger seat next to me.”
She added, “I couldn’t just let time pass like this. I want to get my license quickly and take her out for a drive,” expressing her sincere affection.
When the production team asked where she wanted to go, Karina replied with a laugh, “I haven’t thought that far yet.” After they suggested Yangpyeong in Gyeonggi Province, she responded realistically, “That’s too far. It might take me four hours if I drive,” bringing humor to the moment. She then added, “If my grandmother has somewhere to go, I’ll drive her there.”
Karina also playfully told her grandmother, “Let’s just go somewhere nearby,” adding another lighthearted touch.
Despite her busy schedule, Karina studied consistently and successfully passed the written test with a score of 85. She confidently stated, “I have good athletic sense. I’ll definitely pass the practical test too,” showing her strong determination.
