On September 26, Kangmin posted the letter on Instagram, writing, “The four-month journey has come to an end. Each day was difficult, but I was so happy to be part of such a great broadcast with wonderful people.”

He continued, “Of course, I want to sincerely thank my Kkangdagu and all the Star Creators who supported me. Even when it was tiring and difficult, you didn’t give up on me and loved me until the very end. Thank you so, so much!”

Kangmin reflected on how fans’ encouragement fueled his performances: “Every time I prepared for a stage, seeing your support gave me the strength to move, sweat, and grit my teeth to give my all. Boys II Planet may have ended, but my life has so much more ahead. I’ll dedicate it to becoming a great person and a great idol for you.”

He also shared how the show rekindled his passion: “During six years with VERIVERY, some of that fiery romance slipped away without us realizing. But through this, it came alive again, and I was able to give my all without shame, especially for the contestants who were eliminated before me.”

To fellow contestants, Kangmin offered words of encouragement: “It’s not too late for us it’s only the beginning. Let’s not be discouraged or give up. Let’s shine without regret in this world. I will sincerely cheer for you!”

The final broadcast of Boys II Planet on September 25 announced the eight members set to debut as ALPHA DRIVE ONE (ALD1): 1st Lee Sangwon, 2nd Zhou Anxin, 3rd He Xinlong, 4th Kim Geonwoo, 5th Zhang Jiahao, 6th Lee Leo, 7th Chung Sanghyeon, and 8th Kim Junseo. Kangmin, who placed 9th, narrowly missed debut.
