Kang Ho Dong recalled “2 Days & 1 Night” memories when congratulating Lee Seung Gi’s marriage, “Can you live without me?”

Kang Ho Dong congratulated the special day of Lee Seung Gi, his close junior and younger brother.

In episode 24 of KBS-2TV’s entertainment program “2 Days & 1 Night”, which aired on January 13, 2008, Kang Ho Dong and Lee Seung Gi had a legendary conversation. Kang Ho Dong asked, “Hey! Can you live without me?”, Lee Seung Gi responded, “Ah… I’ll miss you. I will probably miss you but I can live well. Of course, that sounds sad. But we’re still living well tho!”

On April 7th, 2023, Lee Seung Gi married Lee Da In. Kang Ho Dong attended the two’s wedding and brought up his conversation with Lee Seung Gi 15 years ago.

Kang Ho Dong said, “I once asked on ‘2 Days & 1 Night’ that ‘Seung Gi ah, can you live without me?’. At that time, he replied to me, ‘I’ll miss you but I can live well’.”

As soon as Kang Ho Dong mentioned “2 Days & 1 Night”, the wedding hall was filled with laughter. While waiting for Kang Ho Dong’s next words of blessing, the guests recalled memories of “2 Days & 1 Night”.

Kang Ho Dong then said, “My beloved brother Seung Gi, you can live well without me, but you can’t live without Ra Yoon (Lee Da In), right? I hope you live well and happily”.

Kang Ho Dong is known as a close big brother of Lee Seung Gi and the mentor who led Lee Seung Gi to become a variety show star. He left a great impression by congratulating his younger brother’s marriage with his unique humor.

Many senior entertainers, such as Kang Ho Dong, Yoo Jae Suk, Lee Soo Geun and Seo Jang Hoon, gathered at Lee Seung Gi and Lee Da In’s wedding. PD Na Young Seok of “2 Days & 1 Night” also attended the wedding.

Lee Seung Gi and Lee Da In held their wedding at the Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas Hotel in Samseong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. The two officially tied the knot after two years of dating.

Yoo Jae Suk and Lee Soo Geun took turns hosting two parts of the wedding, while singer Lee Juck sang the congratulatory song. The groom Lee Seung Gi then kneeled down to his wife Lee Da In and sang the song “Will You Marry Me?”.

Lastly, the couple promised, “Thanks to your congratulations, we were able to have a happy wedding. We will repay your love.”
