K-netizens react to SM calling the police on Taeyeon fans’ protest trucks

A hilarious situation unfolded after fans of Girls’ Generation Taeyeon sent protest trucks to the SM Entertainment building.

On June 23rd, a topic titled “SM reported Taeyeon fans’ trucks to the police” was published on the Korean forum Pann Nate, gaining massive attention.

In particular, the topic included a Tweet from a fan of Girls’ Generation Taeyeon, which stated, “Truck demonstration approved. Today, we had a lot of trouble because police cars were dispatched so often due to SM’s civil complaints. #SM_STOP_DISCRIMINATING_TAEYEON.”

It seems that after Taeyeon’s fans sent 5 protest trucks to demand better treatment from SM, the agency responded by reporting the trucks to the police.

However, fans ended up getting a permit to park the truck in front of the SM building anyways, and are continuing their protests.

Upon witnessing this, many netizens can’t hold back their laugh, finding the situation extremely hilarious.

  • [+73, -1] I’m laughing like crazy
  • [+70, -0] That’s some nonsense down there. SM reported the trucks trying to claim they risk the company’s security. However, the protest is now legal, so they can no longer do anything
  • [+51, -2] But why is (SM) reporting it? This is just funny
  • [+40, 0] Despite being a top 3 agency, SM is just so bad at whatever they do
