K-netizens React To ‘HYBE Virtual Idol’ SYNDI8’s Controversial Outfits

HYBE’s newly introduced virtual idol group SYNDI8 continued to spark controversy over their provocative designs

A netizen in theqoo shared various images of HYBE’s new virtual idol SYNDI8 and raised issues over their outfits.

OP pointed out that SYNDI8’s outfits were designed with too many holes. Especially, the designer always emphasized details of the characters’ chests and lower body parts. OP said, “It’s similar to the drawing style of 19+ illustrations in online communities”.

OP also brought back controversial designs of female characters in “Sudden Attack 2” by HYBE’s current CEO Park Ji-won when he was working for Nexon.

In response, other netizens commented:

– OMG, that’s disgusting

– The exposed parts are just too similar to that of the characters in Sudden Attack 2

– Ah, I think I’m gonna throw up…

– Disgusting people…

– Don’t call them virtual idols, they’re just AI. There are no humans behind those characters…

– They’re just like a game company. Just stop managing idols

– So disgusting. I wonder who would spend money on that??

– They’re crazy
