K-netizens React To Bang Si-hyuk Introducing Virtual Idol Similar To aespa’s Karina

Earlier on June 27th, Korean media reported that HYBE will launch a virtual girl group called “SYNDI8”.
The fact that this virtual girl group has four members with a futuristic concept already reminded K-pop fans and netizens of aespa. Controversies sparked as they found out the profile of SYNDI8 members.
In particular, one of the members is CANARY. When written in Korean, CANARY (카나리) has exactly the same characters as Karina (카리나) but in a different order. Not only the name, but CANARY’s profile, including information about MBTI and height, is very similar to that of Karina.
