On the November 5 episode of MBC’s variety show Radio Star (Ep. 939), J.Y. Park appeared as a guest alongside Ahn So-hee, Boom, and Kwon Jin-ah. During the episode, the veteran producer revealed his deep affection for his two daughters and their surprising artistic potential.
“My eldest is an exceptional dancer, and my youngest sings really well,” he said, adding, “If possible, I’d love for both of them to become singers.”

When asked whether they also inherited talent from their mother, J.Y. Park replied, “My wife majored in fine arts, so she’s good with her hands and drawing.” Host Kim Gu-ra chimed in with admiration, saying, “That’s an artistic household. Congratulations.”
Then came the unexpected twist: J.Y. Park mentioned actor Rain and actress Kim Tae-hee—his close friends and one of Korea’s top celebrity couples—who also have two daughters. “Rain and Kim Tae-hee have two daughters as well. If we raise them well, that makes four. Add a few more, and we could launch a girl group,” he said, stirring curiosity and amusement.

While clearly a light-hearted comment, J.Y. Park’s remark showcased not only his love for his family but also his ever-present eye for talent—even within his own home and circle.
