Jungkook’s “Seven” Hit 1 Billion Spotify Streams In 108 Days, Breaking Record Of Miley Cyrus’s “Flowers”

BTS’s Jungkook set a new record on Spotify with the song “Seven”

On October 31st, Spotify announced on its official SNS account that BTS’s solo single “Seven” has accumulated more than 1 billion streams within 108 days (as of October 30th). This is the fastest song to reach 1 billion streams in Spotify’s history.

The record was previously held by pop singer Miley Cyrus with her song “Flowers” surpassing 1 billion streams in 112 days. As such, Jungkook’s “Seven” has shortened the record by 4 days.

Released on July 14th, “Seven” immediately entered Spotiffy’s Daily Top Song Global chart at 1st place with 15,995,378 streams, making Jungkook the first K-pop solo artist to achieve No.1 on the chart as well as the K-pop singer with the highest number of cumulative streams in the first entry. In addition, “Seven” also charted No.3 on Spotify’s ‘Most Streamed Summer Songs 2023’.

Continuing his global popularity with “Seven”, Jungkook plans to release his solo album “GOLDEN” at 1 p.m. on November 3rd.

This album has a total of 11 songs, including “3D” and two versions of “Seven”. The title song “Standing Next to You” is a retro funk track featuring Jungkook’s groovy vocal. It was produced by Andrew Watt and Cirkut, the producers of the hit song “Seven”.
