Fans of K-pop boy group SHINee were hit with a wave of nostalgia this week as photos of Jung Yoo-geun SHINee’s “baby” from the 2010 parenting show Hello Baby surfaced online to mark his 18th birthday. The images quickly ignited buzz across social media, with many stunned by how much the now-grown teen resembles SHINee member Minho.
Jung Yoo-geun’s official Instagram, managed by his mother, rarely updates. But for his birthday, she shared a heartfelt message and a recent photo of the teen wearing a mask. “Happy Birthday. Let’s go eat something nice after your exam,” she wrote.
Once a tiny four-year-old on Hello Baby, Yoo-geun is now a tall, handsome young man with deep-set eyes features fans say are eerily similar to Minho’s. “He looks just like Minho!” and “It’s been 14 years already?” were among the many comments from surprised fans.
Born in October 2007, Yoo-geun has grown up under the watchful eyes of fans who still remember his playful chemistry with SHINee members. He didn’t vanish from the entertainment world after Hello Baby either—he appeared in the 2012 drama To the Beautiful You (starring Minho) and the 2014 series Iron Man.
Though he’s currently focused on his studies, Yoo-geun occasionally appears in dramas, leaving fans hopeful for more acting projects in the future.
