Jung Kook’s “SEVEN” review: A hero on a mission to save the most important thing – his lover

In a press conference, Jung Kook shared his inspiration behind “SEVEN,” saying it stemmed from his yearning to be with his loved ones from Monday to Sunday. A romantic love imbues the chorus that reads: “Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday.”

“SEVEN” is told in seven different stories corresponding to seven days a week where the couple is in a cycle of fighting and mending. The MV uses different metaphors just to say the world would blow up if Jung Kook makes his lover mad. 

The color palette is intertwined between light and dark set in a sepia-colored city, creating a heroic image for Jung Kook. It is to say the singer is rescuing the world, and what is trying to save is his relationship with Han So Hee.

Throughout 7 days, every time Jung Kook approaches Han So Hee, their surroundings are turned into a catastrophe. He has to overcome many obstacles and ordeals just to reach his lover and say his apology. “SEVEN” is the most accurate depiction of Jung Kook’s message of love. His acting shines beside his partner, showcasing flexible expressions and a natural charm on-screen.
