On August 26, a video titled “These Two… Are Dating? The Amazing Chemistry Between #Love Next Door Jung So-min and Jung Hae-in” was uploaded on the YouTube channel “Elle Korea”.
In the video, the two actors, who are currently starring in tvN’s “Love Next Door”, had time to select keywords and answer questions together.
One of the questions asked how they had saved each other’s names in their phones.
Jung So-min hesitated, saying, “I feel like you’re going to be upset.” Jung Hae-in jokingly asked, “It’s not like… Jung Hae-in the actor, is it?“
Jung So-min, surprised by the accuracy of his guess, revealed that she indeed had saved him as “Jung Hae-in (Actor)”, which made everyone laugh. Jung Hae-in expressed his shock, “Do you know another Jung Hae-in other than me? You had to put my job at the end?” Jung So-min, laughing, reassured him, “No, there’s no other Jung Hae-in.“
Jung Hae-in then confessed “I only saved your name as just your name“, to which Jung So-min responded with dissatisfaction, “What’s the difference, then?“
They then decided to change each other’s contact names to something they preferred. When Jung Hae-in took his time deciding, Jung So-min, feeling bored, noticed that he had added a mysterious emoji next to “Hae-in Oppa”.
Jung Hae-in explained “I was choosing, and you rushed me, so I pushed the wrong one” and changed it to a smiling emoji as originally intended.
When Jung Hae-in saw how Jung So-min had saved her name, he was shocked. He said “Wait, this is crazy. You saved yourself as ‘Pretty To-min’“, causing everyone to burst into laughter.
Jung Hae-in added “I’ve never had ‘pretty’ in my contact list. You’re the first. There’s no way I couldn’t find this. She’s the only person that’s saved as ‘pretty’“, emphasizing how surprised he was.
Meanwhile, the two also answered a question about how they address each other.
Although Jung Hae-in is older, he’s technically Jung So-min’s junior in the industry. Jung So-min commented, “You have less experience? We’ve never talked about this before.”
Jung Hae-in said, “But do you remember? When we first met, we didn’t talk to each other.” Jung So-min replied, “The process of speaking informally wasn’t natural.“
Jung Hae-in confessed, “There was external pressure. It was a big decision and needed determination and constant effort. Let’s do it, one, two, three! Like that. And then we’d go back and forth between speaking formally and informally, but we’re close now.”
