‘Escape’ is a disaster survival thriller that tells the story of people fighting for their lives following a chain-reaction accident in dense fog, trying to survive against uncontrollable military experimental dogs released on the collapsing Airport Bridge.
Since his debut in ‘Goong,’ Ju Ji-hoon has built a solid filmography with works like ‘Along with the Gods,’ the ‘Kingdom’ series, ‘The Spy Gone North,’ ‘Dark Figure of Crime,’ ‘The Devil,’ and ‘Hyena,’ captivating audiences with his irreplaceable charm. He has portrayed a wide range of characters, from a prickly crown prince to a playful grim reaper, a cunning murderer, and an elite lawyer. In ‘Escape,’ he once again shows a new facet of himself.
In ‘Escape,’ Ju Ji-hoon plays ‘Jobak,’ a tow truck driver looking for a big break, challenging himself with a radical visual transformation never seen since his debut, heightening the curiosity of prospective viewers. Through the character of ‘Jobak,’ a free-spirited soul with a unique appearance, he injects vibrant energy into the extreme disaster scenario with his humorous charm. Additionally, his adorable teamwork with his pet dog ‘Jody’ in the film is a highlight not to be missed.
