Johnny Somali Threatens to Spread STDs to Korean Women if Not Released thumbnail

Johnny Somali (real name: Ramzy Khalid Ismail), a controversial YouTuber already notorious in South Korea for multiple disruptive incidents, is now under fire for threatening to infect Korean women with sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) unless released by the Korean government.

On April 25, legal YouTuber Legal Mindset uploaded a video titled “He Wants to Infect Me & Korean Women,” exposing Johnny Somali’s latest disturbing claims. In the video, Somali stated, “If Korea doesn’t let me go, Korean women will face danger. I didn’t use condoms, I didn’t get tested for STDs. I’ll spread whatever I have to them.”

He continued with racist and misogynistic remarks, saying, “Korean women thirst for Black men every week. They let me stay in Korea,” and further claimed, “Neither Korean police nor the government can stop me.”

He also directly threatened Legal Mindset, saying he would “inject HIV with a syringe.”

Legal Mindset noted that although Somali‘s claims may not be factually accurate, threatening to transmit STDs constitutes a criminal offense not only in the U.S. and Europe, but also under Korean law.

Currently, Johnny Somali is under an exit ban in South Korea and reportedly reliant on financial support from acquaintances. Legal Mindset also shared a Telegram message from one such acquaintance, requesting donations to cover Somali’s legal fees via PayPal. The supporter claimed that Somali is banned from working and has no income, stating, “If I don’t help, he’ll starve.”

Netizens reaction to this:

  • Korean women don’t discriminate by race; they only discriminate based on appearance. Therefore, it’s impossible.
  • Haha, just stay hidden~ don’t get beaten by street thugs.
  • What are you talking about? Korean women like men with a lot of money.

Johnny Somali had previously faced public outrage for mocking the comfort woman statue, harassing Korean women, and engaging in disruptive livestreams across Seoul.
