According to a report by MyDaily on April 24, Jo Yuri and Kim Dong-hwi have been cast as leads in the drama Love Virus, raising anticipation for the project’s overall quality.

Love Virus follows a long-term couple—both attractive, high-earning elites—who have been dating for nine years and are on the verge of marriage. However, in a shocking twist, they decide to give each other a “cheating vaccine,” proposing a “break time” to meet other partners before tying the knot, ensuring no lingering regrets remain.

Jo Yuri will take on the role of Im Mia, a criminal hunter. Disillusioned with the world and driven by a desire for revenge, she encounters lawyer Ha Do-woon (Jung Hae-in), a man who seemingly has everything, and begins to dream of experiencing “real” love. Notably, Jo Yuri recently wrapped filming for Netflix’s Variety and quickly selected this as her next project.

Meanwhile, Kim Dong-hwi transforms into Woo Dong-seok, a YouTuber known for his cheerful personality despite lacking knowledge. His natural friendliness and unique, somewhat naïve charm allow him to win over Kang Chae-rin (Shin Se-kyung), a dentist. After completing his mandatory military service last month, Kim Dong-hwi wasted no time choosing his comeback project.

The central couple in the drama will be portrayed by Jung Hae-in and Shin Se-kyung. The series will be directed by Kim Seok-yoon, known for acclaimed works such as My Wife’s Having an Affair This Week, The Light in Your Eyes, and My Liberation Notes, further heightening expectations for Love Virus.
