Jo Jung-seok On New Cross-dressing Role, “I Looked So Pretty I Took A Lot Of Selfies”
Actor Jo Jung-seok was proud of his appearance after dressing up as a woman.
On July 23rd, the latest episode of the YouTube show “Salon Drip 2” starring Jo Jung-seok and Shin Seung-ho as guests was released on the channel “TEO.”
In this episode, Jo Jung-seok revealed that he dressed as a woman in his next movie “Pilot.” This is a comedy about Han Jung-woo (played by Jo Jung-seok) dressed up as a female to get a job. Host Jang Do-yeon was surprised by his female version, saying, “The makeup in the poster was so good.”
Jo Jung-seok said, “I worked very hard with the dressing team and the costume team. I had to transform myself well anyway because I needed to understand my transformation. We tried a lot of double eyelid tape. It looked weird to put on, and we think it’s okay to take it off. We kept having meetings and experimenting in that way.” Shin Seung-ho said, “Every time I went to the scene, I was excited every day to see what kind of makeup she (Jo) would have on today.”
Jo added, “One time I filmed with my hair getting wet. I looked in the mirror that day and I looked so fine. I don’t know how many selfies I took that day. I was so pretty back then.” Jo also said, “I took good selfies on set and showed them to my wife. I also thanked her for saying I was pretty.”
Jo revealed he usually makes video calls with his family, but when he dressed up as a woman, he couldn’t make video calls with his daughter. “It was because I was afraid that my daughter would be shocked. I usually made video calls with her because I missed my daughter, but I only did it when I was just the normal me. When I was filming the drama “Captivating The King,” she saw me in the drama costume and asked, “Who is it?” and I said, “Daddy is wearing a beard.” When she saw me acting angry, she was surprised and said, “I hate it,” explaining why he was careful not to show his daughter his cross-dressing.
Meanwhile, “Pilot” will be released on July 31st.
