Jisoo’s Self-Styled ‘Hameko’ Triumph: A Testament to the Confidence of a Natural Beauty

Recently, a video titled ‘We Asked BLACKPINK’s Jisoo to Choose Her Own Legendary Hairstyles’ was uploaded on W Korea magazine’s YouTube channel.

In the video, Jisoo had a tournament-style session to select her favorite ‘hameko’ (hair makeup coordinate) photos.

In the semi-finals, Jisoo faced off against her W Korea photoshoot picture and a photo of her wearing red clothes during the ‘Flower’ activity. Jisoo said, “It’s a showdown of the century. Honestly, I’ll choose the W Korea photoshoot Jisoo because I’m looking forward to the result. I’m also wearing a lot of accessories that I like.”

Next, a photo of her attending a luxury jewelry brand Cartier’s event was matched against a refreshing selfie. Earlier, Jisoo expressed her affection for a natural atmosphere in ‘refreshing selfies,’ saying, “I like trees, I like the sky, and I like blue. I’m wearing blue clothes with trees and the sky. And I’m wearing my favorite necklace.”

She continued, “There’s no strict rule for casual outfits, but when touring, I tried to match the atmosphere of the country. I feel good when taking pictures while wandering around.”

Jisoo said, “I really like the photo from Cartier’s event. But I also like ‘refreshing Jisoo.’ I’ll go with ‘refreshing Jisoo.’ I received this necklace as a gift, and I felt satisfied when I first wore it. I liked how it matched today’s look.”

In the final showdown, the W Korea photoshoot picture and ‘refreshing Jisoo’ were pitted against each other. Jisoo surprised everyone by saying, “Choosing ‘refreshing Jisoo’ as the legendary hameko is something I did on my own.”

Jisoo humbly made her final choice, saying, “Wouldn’t it be too self-centered to say that the hameko I did is legendary? It feels a bit awkward to choose something I did myself. I’ll go with W Korea Jisoo. I’m curious and excited about the other shots too.”
