On January 22nd, Ji Chang-wook delivered his impression after JTBC’s Sat-Sun drama “Welcome to Samdal-ri” ended through his agency Spring Company. He said, “I was very happy to greet viewers with Jo Yong-pil at the end of 2023 and the beginning of 2024”.
“Welcome to Samdal-ri” tells a heartwarming story that happens when Jo Sam-dal (Shin Hye-sun) returns to her hometown Jeju after losing everything. Ji Chang-wook portrayed the role of Jo Yong-pil, who stays in Jeju to protect it. Jo Yong-pil had a sweet romance with Jo Sam-dal, who dreamed of becoming a dragon escaping from the stream and flying into the sky. With his dedicated and solid acting, Ji Chang-wook gave warm comfort to viewers.
Ji Chang-wook shared, “The time I spent going back and forth between Seoul and Jeju was a great memory”, adding “Expressing Yong-pil’s sincere heart, I also felt his deep love. I’m grateful to have such a good time in Samdal-ri”.
He added, “Thanks to the viewers who sympathized with the drama, we were able to complete the warmth of Samdal-ri. I appreciate everyone who watched and supported us. Also, I would like to sincerely thank the director, fellow actors, and all the staff who spent a long time in Samdal-ri with me.”
Raising expectations for his activities in the new year, Ji Chang-wook said, “I will continue working hard in 2024 with this appreciation. I will greet you with a new image, so please look forward to it and give me a lot of attention”.
