Ji Chang-wook on ‘Revolver’: ‘I Was Unusually Nervous Working with Jeon Do-yeon’

Actor Ji Chang-wook revealed that he felt comfortable working with Jeon Do-yeon.

On the afternoon of the 31st, an official press screening and media conference for the movie “Revolver” was held at Megabox COEX in Gangnam, Seoul, with Jeon Do-yeon, Ji Chang-wook, Lim Ji-yeon, and director Oh Seung-wook in attendance.

Ji Chang-wook reminisced about his collaboration with Jeon Do-yeon, saying, “It was my first time working with her on this project, but I’ve admired her since I was young and always wanted to work with her. Rather than finding it difficult, I was extremely nervous. So, when going to the set, it was a place where I felt unusually tense.”

He continued, “Despite that, I felt comfortable during scenes at the bar or when we were working together. She made things very comfortable on set, which I really appreciated. Didn’t I look relaxed? Even when I got hit, it was refreshing,” he laughed.

In response, Jeon Do-yeon said, “Since I’m a senior, people tend to find me intimidating or scary, and that’s something often mentioned in these official settings out of respect for me, but it’s not like that on set. On the contrary, Ji Chang-wook was very considerate. I was worried that I might actually get hit if I did something wrong, but Ji Chang-wook said it would be better for him to lie down because of the emotions involved. It was our first project together, but I think I was the one who was looked after.”

Meanwhile, “Revolver” is a movie about former police officer Soo-young, who, after taking the blame for all crimes and being imprisoned, pursues a single goal after her release. It is the latest work by director Oh Seung-wook, known for his screenplay and direction of “The Shameless.”

Jeon Do-yeon plays Ha Soo-young, who relentlessly pursues her promised reward, Ji Chang-wook plays Andy, an uncontrollable character indifferent to promises, and Lim Ji-yeon portrays Jung Yoon-sun, whose intentions as either a monitor or helper are unclear.
