Ji Chang-wook‘s agency, Spring Company, announced on February 11th, “We apologize to everyone who felt uncomfortable by actor Ji Chang-wook’s action in the drama making content released on January 26th.”

“In the contents, actor Ji Chang-wook smoked e-cigarettes indoors. It caused inconvenience to those who saw it as inappropriate,” it said. “We are sorry for causing the disappointment of many people. On this day, a behind-the-scenes video of “Welcome to Samdal-ri,” which shows Ji Chang-wook smoking an e-cigarette during rehearsals for an indoor shooting, went viral online. This was a video released last month, but it became known later through the online community. In the video, Ji Chang-wook is smoking in a place where all the staff members and fellow actors and actresses such as Shin Hye-sun and Lee Jae-won were together. Currently, Ji Chang-wook’s smoking part has been deleted, and Ji Chang-wook also apologized, but netizens still criticize him.

Recently, stars have been criticized for smoking indoors, causing controversy. On February 5th, singer/songwriter Meenoi accidentally showed an ashtray piled up with cigarette butts placed in her room during a live broadcast.
