The script-reading session for upcoming drama “Welcome to Samdal-ri”, which stars Ji Chang-wook and Shin Hye-sun, has been revealed
On November 13th, the production team of “Welcome to Samdal-ri” unveiled the scene of this drama’s script-reading session, which was held in Seoul last April. Here, Director Cha Young-hoon, writer Kwon Hye-joo, and actors Ji Chang-wook, Shin Hye-sun, Kim Mi-kyung, Seo Hyun-chul, Yoo Oh-sung, Shin Dong-mi, Yang Kyung-won, Lee Jae-won, Bae Myung-jin, Kang Young-seok, Kang Mi-na, Baek Hyun-joo, Yoon Jin-sung, Kim Mi-hwa, Jo Yoon-seo, Kim Ah-young, Lee Do-hye, Kim Do-eun, and others attended, brightening the atmosphere.
As a drama with star-studded cast, “Welcome to Samdal-ri” script-reading includes various flawless acting performances, creating a heated atmosphere. The warmth and laughter energy of the work synergized with the actors’ performances, creating a strong impact.
According to director Cha Young-hoon, “Welcome to Samdal-ri” is a story about love, friendship, and healing. It conveys the message that around us, there are people who sincerely support us without any conditions, even though life may be lonely and difficult.
In this drama, Ji Chang-wook takes on the role of Jang Joon-pil, a weather forecaster at the Jeju Island Meteorological Agency who lost his mother due to a mistaken weather report. Joon-pil is a friend who knows how to sincerely love someone and insists on accurate weather forecasts to protect his loved ones.
Shin Hye-sun, who couldn’t hide her nervousness during the first rehearsal, immediately entered “acting mode” as soon as the reading began. She plays the role of Jo Sam-dal, who moved to Seoul to pursue her dreams of becoming a successful fashion photographer, and went by the name of Jo Eun-hye. However, when her life suddenly falls apart, she returns to her hometown, where she reconnects with Yong-pil.
Regarding the drama, which is filled with chemistry between the main couple and warm friendships and familial relationships, the production team said, “In the script, the warmth and affection of people were already vividly conveyed, and the excellent acting and perfect chemistry of actors with various charms have maximized the strengths of ‘Welcome to Samdal-ri.’ We will present a drama full of fun and warmth to viewers at the end of the year, reflecting the warm fun felt on the set 200%. On the other hand, ‘”Welcome to Samdal-ri” will air every Friday and Saturday, starting from December 2nd, after the conclusion of “Strong Girl Nam-soom”.
