On the September 7 broadcast of SBS’s Running Man, the cast took on the “Time Attack Reward and Punishment Fighter” race, where members had to complete a list of scheduled tasks within a set time.
During the challenge, the production team revealed that Jeon So Min had suggested one of the games. Kim Jong Kook was surprised, asking, “Do you keep in touch with So Min?” The staff explained, “She occasionally sends us game ideas.” Ji Suk Jin jokingly added, “If she’s sending games, tell her to come on the show herself.”
Choi Daniel then quipped, “Does she get paid for this?” while Yoo Jae Suk teased, “Why doesn’t she just come and play the games herself?” sparking laughter among the members.
The staff introduced the game Jeon So Min had suggested, called “Sing-Along 3-Minute Cooking,” which has recently gone viral on short-form content platforms. The rules required one representative to sing a recipe to the tune of a song within three minutes, while two other members cooked along in real time. Once the dishes were complete, all members would taste and vote on the winner, with extra points given to the better-tasting dish.
Additional rules stated that if the challengers fell behind, the singer could repeat parts of the lyrics—but had to finish the entire recipe before the music ended, even if that meant speeding up like a rap.
The first round featured Yang Se Chan and Ji Suk Jin cooking, with Yoo Jae Suk singing the recipe for “Beef Loin Pad Thai” to Kang Jin’s song Wild Bee. Kim Jong Kook confidently remarked, “That’s fine. It’s not too fast,” showing his singer’s instincts.
As Yang Se Chan smoothly handled the cooking, Ji Ye Eun commented, “It smells good. I think it’ll taste delicious,” prompting Haha to tease, “She’s falling for you.” Yang Se Chan leaned into the playful moment, asking Ji Ye Eun, “How about a man who can cook?” while patting her head. Ji Ye Eun replied, “Still not falling for you,” causing everyone to burst into laughter.
Jeon So Min’s subtle involvement has fans wondering if this could signal her full-fledged return to Running Man in the near future.
