“The Queen Woo” is a chase-action historical drama about Queen Woo, who becomes the target of five tribes trying to seize power after the sudden death of the king, struggling to establish a new king within 24 hours.

Scheduled to be released in 2024, “The Queen Woo” is a work based on the record of Queen Woo, who maintained her power through an unusual practice of levirate marriage in Korean history.

Jeon Jong Seo, who plays the role of Queen Woo, an individual who marries one of her husband’s younger brothers to protect her family and tribe after the king’s death, is expected to draw attention to how she will pull off her first historical drama.

The production team of “The Queen Woo” has raised expectations by saying, “We plan to create a queen character who directly selects the next king to the throne, rather than a queen who stays inside the palace and only moves her feet behind the scenes.
