Jennie Bows Deeply Upon Returning to Korea After Vaping Controversy

Jennie officially returned to Korea after the controversy over vaping

On the morning of July 22nd, Jennie (BLACKPINK) appeared at Incheon Airport in Seoul after a long trip to Los Angeles, USA. This was her return to Korea following the controversy over vaping in a closed room and in front of staff in Italy, which caused a stir both domestically and internationally. Despite landing very early around 5~6 AM, some fans were already waiting to welcome Jennie back. The BLACKPINK member was surprised that despite her attempts to stay concealed, fans still recognized her.

Because of the early morning flight, there was no press and only a few fans, so Jennie appeared more open and relaxed compared to previous times. She amused fans with playful “angry” expressions, sent hearts and even “passed on luck” to fans who might become one of the 88 people selected to attend BLACKPINK’s 8th-anniversary fansign event on August 8th.

Notably, the moment Jennie bowed 90 degrees to greet fans went viral online. Despite the vaping controversy, it’s clear that Jennie is still warmly received and cherished by her fans.
