On August 18, the results of the August big data analysis for individual girl group member brand reputation were revealed, with IVE’s Jang Wonyoung, aespa’s Karina, and cignature’s Jiwoo taking the top three spots.
The Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute extracted 95,745,561 pieces of brand big data from 675 individual girl group members between July 18 and August 18, 2024, to analyze consumer behavior toward these brands. The brand reputation index was analyzed using the participation index, media index, communication index, and community index. Compared to July’s brand big data of 110,977,299 pieces, there was a 13.73% decrease.
The brand reputation index is a metric created through big data analysis, revealing how consumers’ online habits significantly influence brand consumption. The analysis of individual girl group member brand reputation allows for the measurement of positive and negative evaluations, media interest, and the level of consumer attention and communication. This analysis also includes brand value evaluation to assess brand influence.
Jang Wonyoung, who ranked first in individual girl group member brand reputation, had a participation index of 1,499,780, a media index of 1,396,230, a communication index of 1,047,205, and a community index of 1,728,163, resulting in a brand reputation index of 5,671,379. Compared to the brand reputation index of 6,477,437 in July, this represents a 12.44% decrease.
aespa’s Karina, who ranked second, had a participation index of 1,715,598, a media index of 1,265,920, a communication index of 1,107,498, and a community index of 1,384,407, resulting in a brand reputation index of 5,473,424. Compared to July’s brand reputation index of 7,210,532, this represents a 24.09% decrease.
cignature’s Jiwoo, who ranked third, had a participation index of 418,604, a media index of 413,909, a communication index of 1,532,353, and a community index of 1,365,585, resulting in a brand reputation index of 3,730,451. Compared to July’s brand reputation index of 2,977,584, this represents a 25.28% increase.
IVE’s An Yujin, who ranked fourth, had a participation index of 1,086,389, a media index of 1,009,543, a communication index of 634,858, and a community index of 983,544, resulting in a brand reputation index of 3,714,334. Compared to July’s brand reputation index of 3,306,874, this represents a 12.32% increase.
aespa’s Winter, who ranked fifth, had a participation index of 915,403, a media index of 845,323, a communication index of 657,278, and a community index of 1,237,528, resulting in a brand reputation index of 3,655,531. Compared to July’s brand reputation index of 2,575,372, this represents a 41.94% increase.
Gu Chang-hwan, Director of the Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute, commented, “According to the August 2024 big data analysis of individual girl group member brand reputation, IVE’s Jang Wonyoung ranked first. When analyzing the individual girl group member brand category, the big data for August decreased by 13.73% compared to July. A detailed analysis shows that brand consumption increased by 1.57%, brand issues decreased by 1.28%, brand communication decreased by 11.80%, and brand diffusion decreased by 26.88%.”
He continued, “In the link analysis for IVE’s Jang Wonyoung, who ranked first in individual girl group member brand reputation for August 2024, the terms ‘lovable,’ ‘positive,’ and ‘growth’ were highly associated, while in the keyword analysis, ‘Wonyoung-turn,’ ‘Wonyoung’s way of thinking,’ and ‘LuckyViki’ were prominent. The positive-to-negative ratio analysis showed a positive ratio of 91.07%.”
