Actress Jang Nara is set to make a special appearance in the upcoming SBS drama Taxi Driver 3, according to exclusive reports from iMBC Entertainment on August 5.
Taxi Driver is based on a popular webtoon of the same name and tells the story of the mysterious taxi company, Rainbow Transportation, and its driver Kim Do-gi, who takes on personal revenge on behalf of victims who have been wronged. The series has captivated audiences with its unique concept of a taxi driver hunting down villains, leading to successful first and second seasons and now a planned third.
The new season will star Lee Je-hoon, Kim Eui-sung, Pyo Ye-jin, Jang Hyuk-jin, and Bae Yoo-ram among others.
Jang Nara, who won a top acting award for her role as a divorce attorney Cha Eun-kyung in last year’s SBS drama Good Partner, will join the cast in a special role. Notably, Good Partner has also been confirmed for a second season.
Earlier this year, in January, Jang Nara expressed on SBS Radio Power FM’s “DinDin’s Music High” that she closely watched Taxi Driver because of her friendship with co-star Pyo Ye-jin and was interested in starring in a female version of the show. Her wish has now come true with this special appearance.
Taxi Driver 3 is scheduled to premiere in the second half of this year.
