Actress Jang Ga Hyun, 49, has revealed that she recently received a threatening direct message from a chauffeur driver, expressing her frustration by publicly sharing the exchange on social media.
On June 2, Jang Ga Hyun uploaded screenshots of the messages to her Instagram Story, exposing what she described as an unreasonable and disturbing interaction.
According to the screenshots, the driver first contacted her in May of last year. In the message, he introduced himself as the chauffeur who had driven her from Gangnam to her home in Ilsan.
The driver wrote, “I couldn’t see your face clearly because it was dark and you were wearing a hat, but while you were talking on the phone, your voice sounded very familiar. I wondered if it could be Jang Ga Hyun, and it turned out it was. After work, I often watch reruns of Love & War, and I’ve always liked you. You’re tall, beautiful, and your voice is lovely. It was a great honor to drive you home personally. I hope I’ll have another chance to drive you again someday.”
However, after receiving no response from the actress, the driver reportedly sent another message a year later. This time, the tone was dramatically different and included remarks that many viewed as threatening. In the follow-up message, the driver wrote, “Even famous actors thank fans and respond to comments after brief encounters. You have zero humanity. Maybe I should expose everything that happened in the car when I drove you from Gangnam to Ilsan. Seriously!”
The unexpected threat left many social media users stunned after Jang Ga Hyun shared the message publicly.
Responding to the situation, the actress expressed her disbelief and anger. She wrote, “How am I supposed to read and reply to every single DM I receive? What exactly are you going to expose? Please, go ahead and expose it.”
