NCT DoJaeJung’s ‘Perfume’ Lands a Spot on NME’s ‘Top 50 Songs of 2023’

NCT DoJaeJung’s hit song ‘Perfume’ has been selected as one of the “Top 50 Songs of 2023” by the prestigious UK music magazine NME

Ranked at 45, NCT DoJaeJung  is the only male K-pop artist mentioned in the list. NME praised ‘Perfume’ for its highlighting DoJaeJung’s delivery of a much smoother musical style. The magazine stated that, contrary to NCT’s typical style, ‘Perfume’ leaves a deep and lasting impression on listeners, earning its spot on the list alongside global musicians like The Beatles, Lana Del Rey, Olivia Rodrigo, Billie Eilish, Troye Sivan, Dua Lipa, and Ryan Gosling.

NCT DoJaeJung, who made un their debut in April, achieved various milestones with his first mini-album ‘Perfume,’ including topping K-pop unit debut charts, dominating domestic album and music charts, and winning on music shows. Their global recognition is reaffirmed by being the sole male K-pop artist in the lineup of the “Top 50 Songs of 2023,” following his inclusion in NME’s “Best K-pop Songs of the First Half of 2023” in June.
