The 2022 KBS Gayo Daechukje has dropped new trailers featuring the 3 MCs.
The year-end festival “2022 KBS Gayo Daechukje: Y2K” with a lineup of various K-POP stars who shone this year, has released three CF parody teaser videos ahead of the live broadcast on December 16th.
The teaser videos perfectly reproduce the commercials from the late 90s to the early 2000s, with 3 MCs Kim Shin Young, IVE’s Jang Won Young, and Na In Woo.
First, Kim Shin Young parodied Jung Woo Sung’s beverage commercial shouting “Go! Go!” while sprinkling fallen leaves. Na In Woo said, “I like K-pop! Do you like K-pop, too?” as he parodied Cho Sung Mo’s cringe-worthy CF, which created the buzzword “I want to bite you.”
Jang Won Young performed the famous techno dance Jeon Ji Hyun did in a printer commercial. In particular, Jang Won Young said that it was a popular advertisement before she was even born, so when she first came to the set, she was confused because she didn’t know what the techno dance was, but she said that she naturally danced along to the rhythm and enjoyed the shoot.
In addition to the analog-style video effect, the “Y2K” sensibility in 2022 gives a nostalgia to the X generation and freshness to the MZ generation. It raises curiosity about what newtro-style fresh ideas will be shown in this year’s KBS Gayo Daechukje.
The lineup of this year’s KBS Gayo Daechukje includes BoA, Kim Wooseok, NCT127, NCT DREAM, Pentagon, The Boyz, fromis_9, Forestella, Stray Kids, (G)I-DLE, ATEEZ, Choi Yena, ONEUS, ITZY, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, STAYC, aespa, ENHYPEN, IVE, Kep1er, NMIXX, LE SSERAFIM and New Jeans.
“2022 KBS Gayo Daechukje: Y2K”, where a feast of music that transcends generations and special stages will be showcased, is scheduled to broadcast on KBS2 from 8:30 pm KST on December 16th.
