IVE talks about their comeback with “LOVE DIVE” and expresses ambition for overseas activities

Girl group IVE expressed its feelings about winning 13 trophies with their first debut album.

IVE (Yu-jin, Ga-eul, Rei, Won-young, Liz, Lee Seo) held a showcase to celebrate the release of its second single “LOVE DIVE” at Blue Square in Itaewon-ro, Yongsan-gu, Seoul at 4.pm on April 5th.

“LOVE DIVE” is an album that contains the confident and unstoppable charm that tells you to jump into love at any time if you have the courage. It not only suits the identity of IVE, which belongs to the Z Generation, but also emphasizes a more colorful and sophisticated image of the girl group.

Regarding the title song “LOVE DIVE”, which is the same name as the album, Won-young introduced, “It’s a song that expresses the feeling of being in love. With energetic melodies and addictive choruses, this album focuses on delivering IVE’s colorful messages”, adding, “It contains a bold message from IVE, ‘If you have the courage to love, just jump in’”.

How meaningful it is to have the fanclub name ‘DIVE’ included in the new album’s name? Ga-eul said, “In this album, the music spectrum was expanded to show our confident attitude and the bold message that only IVE could show”, adding, “Not only through music but also through styling and promotional videos, we will show you IVE’s confident appearance and unique charms in all aspects”.

When asked about the killing point of this promotion, Liz confidently said, “The killing part is the whole song”. She also hinted, “Along with the chorus, the dance break part that we challenge for the first time is the most notable point”.

IVE has become a representative girl group of the 4th generation by winning 13 trophies on music shows immediately after its debut. In response, Yu-jin said, “Thank you for calling us a group that represents the new generation even though we’re just a rookie that has only debuted recently”, and promised, “We will show better sides of us”.

Regarding her global popularity, Rei said, “Since we didn’t have many opportunities to communicate with overseas fans in person, I felt so great and grateful for the amazing reactions”, adding, “In particular, I heard that there was a challenge conducted on global channels by fans while watching “ELEVEN” stages and fancams. After hearing such news, it gave me lots of strength during promotion activities”, expressing her gratitude to fans.

Lee Seo shared, “I think K-pop has a huge power of empathy. Thanks to fans who sympathized with the messages we wanted to convey through music beyond languages, we gained such a good result. I’m very thankful for that”.

After receiving so much love with the first album, IVE members must have felt so pressured with this comeback. Liz confessed, “It would be a lie to say that there was no burden. When we debuted, we were worried if fans would like the song. But this time, we had a lot more concerns. As much as the love we received from fans, we tried to show good performances”.

It is known that IVE has already received offers for overseas expansion. In response, Won-young said, “We’re willing to go abroad. That’s one of our goals. We are monitoring our performances and practicing hard”, expressing their strong ambitions.

Lastly, Yu-jin said, “Through this activity, we want to prove our name as a “perfect group” once again”, adding, “There are still many charms that we haven’t shown yet. We will show you more sides of us”, expressing their determination.
