Naver and Playlist’s music broadcast NPOP has chosen IVE as “NPOP Artist of the Month” and RIIZE as “Rookie of the Month”
On the live broadcast on November 20, AMPERS&ONE, WHIB, KISS OF LIFE, XODIAC, OMEGA X, GHOST9, Weeekly, MCND, Soojin, Giuk, VIVIZ, and Youngjae appeared. In addition, Umji, a member of girl group VIVIZ, served as the special MC for November.
The same episode also reveals the monthly results, including “NPOP Artist of the Month” and “Rookie of the Month.”
Here, IVE, who presented “Baddie” and “Either Way” on NPOP, received the honor of being the “NPOP Artist of the Month” In particular, “Baddie” delivers a hip and intense vibe, showcasing IVE’s unique charm, whilst “Either Way” the first song to be released on NPOP and gained attention. IVE has won another No. 1 trophy following last month, showing hot popularity even after the official performance of their new album “I’VE MINE”.
Meanwhile, RIIZE was selected as the “Rookie of the Month”, proving their potential by winning the award for the third consecutive time.
NPOP differs from other charts that rank based on weekly calculations. It unveils its chart based on monthly calculations, considering factors such as music scores and album sales, pre-votes, live votes, viewership, and search volume to create a comprehensive ranking. NPOP, broadcasted on Naver NOW’s ‘”NPOP” channel, presents prerecorded VOD content on Wednesdays during the first three weeks of the month. The live broadcast takes place on the fourth Monday of each month.
