A new hairstyle of IVE’s Jang Wonyoung is drawing much attention.
On August 25th, IVE attended the 2022 K Global Heart Dream Awards held in Seoul and brought a splendid performance.
When IVE was named the winner for Bonsang and Super Rookie of the Year, members Jang Wonyoung and Ahn Yujin represented the group to deliver their acceptance speech.
During this moment, Jang Wonyoung’s short and cute bangs caught the attention. As Jang Wonyoung usually stuck to her long straight hair without putting her bangs down, she gave off a cute charm by having her bangs styled in a unique way. Specifically, her baby hairs that grow along the hairline were curled to make it look like bangs.
On Jang Wonyoung’s Instagram, she even named this hairstyle “Tweety Bang” because it resembles Tweety the bird, a cartoon character with baby hair strands sticking out of its head.
Like the “Choppy Bang” trend which are short bangs above the eyebrows, the “Tweety Bang” introduced by Jang Wonyoung is also expected to become the next popular hairstyle.
