Jang Won Young is known to be a long-time iPhone user in real life.
Earlier on February 7th, SK Telecom’s official YouTube channel released a video titled “KISS23 SK Telecom and Galaxy S23 Series Exciting Meeting!” The released video shows Jang Won Young, an advertising model for SK Telecom, showcasing the newly released Samsung S23 phone. In particular, Jang Won Young appeared in the video and kissed her mobile phone.
However, in real life, Jang Won Young was known to be a long-time iPhone user. On her Instagram, the idol was seen with the Apple product relatively often. Her iPhone could be seen through a video in Paris, France, where she took a visit for a Miu Miu show as an ambassador, or when she took selfies in what appeared to be the waiting room for KBS’ “Music Bank.”
Won Young’s iPhone was also used to help the idol fix up her makeup at the “2022 Asia Artist Awards” held at Nippon Gaishi Hall in Nagoya, Japan on December 13th last year.
In August last year, Jang Won Young also worked as an advertising model to promote Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 (August 16th). Six days after the advertisement for Samsung, Jang Won Young posted an advertisement for Innisfree’s empty bottle recycling campaign using her iPhone (August 22nd). Nonetheless, almost a week since, Jang Won Young took a selfie with Galaxy Z Flip 4 (August 28th.)
A similar controversy ocurred in 2021 when Samsung Galaxy phone users stated their stance when BLACKPINK members were seen using iPhones after their advertising contracts with Samsung ended.
