Broker is not really well received from the Korean public.
Broker once competed at the Cannes Film Festival 2022. Right at the premiere, the work received a 12-minute standing ovation.
The film earned overwhelmingly positive reviews from critics. Simultaneously, actor Song Kang Ho got the Cannes Best Actor award.
However, the work was not well received by the general audience. After viewing Broker, the majority of spectators are disappointed. They considered the film’s content was confusing and that Japanese filmmaker Hirokazu Koreeda’s ambitions were unclear.
The audience found the movie script quite unrealistic. However, many viewers continue to appreciate this work on its uplifting content.
