IU donates 200 million won on her birthday “Positive influence”

Singer-actress IU once again demonstrated her positive influence by donating 200 million won on her 32nd birthday

On May 16th, IU’s agency EDAM Entertainment released some donation certificates, stating, “We hope everyone’s day is warm, resembling the abundant love filled by UAENA this year as well.

According to the donation certificates, IU donated 50 million won each to Grouphome for children and youth, Korea Welfare Services, Snail of Love and Korean Unwed Mothers’ Families Association, totaling 200 million won in the name of “IUAENA”.

The 50 million won donated to Korea Welfare Services will be used to help young adults preparing for independence to settle into society securely. The 50 million won given to Snail of Love is expected to support hearing-impaired individuals.

Last year, IU also donated 250 million won on her birthday under the name “IUAENA”, with 50 million won each going to single-parent families, young adults preparing for independence, unwed mothers, and 100 million won to disadvantaged children in Korea.

Additionally, on Children’s Day (May 5th), she donated 100 million won to the ChildFund Korea.

It is reported that IU has donated over 5 billion won since her debut.

Fans responded with comments such as “I’m happy that Ji-eun is my singer“, “IU is the best“, “Thank you so much every time“, “She’s truly amazing” and “She has such a warm heart.

Meanwhile, IU is currently on her “2024 IU HEREH WORLD TOUR CONCERT” and her Netflix original series “When Life Gives You Tangerines” is about to be released.
