On May 13th, a video featuring Doh Kyung-soo was uploaded on the YouTube channel “IU Official”.
In the video, IU admitted “I am a musical fan of Doh Kyung-soo” and asked, “Have you decided on a fan club name?” Doh Kyung-soo responded, “No, I haven’t decided yet.” IU clapped her hands in delight, saying, “Great.”
IU then shared, “It says in the script to ask you, ‘How about we come up with ideas here?’ I had so many thoughts after I saw this… I barely slept last night!“
She continued, “I really couldn’t sleep last night thinking about ideas for the fan club name. I came up with a few names… I have about nine! First one, it’s very easy.” She suggested fandom names such as “NADO” (a combination of “NA” (me) and “D.O.”), “DDODASHI”, “DDOLANG DDOLANG”, “DDOREMI” and “DDOTTENTION”.
During the discussion, IU said, “I’m suddenly starting to sweat.” Feeling awkward introducing the cute fandom names to Doh Kyung-soo, IU quickly wrapped up the suggestions and moved on to the next topic, which brought laughter.
Additionally, IU discussed the changes in Doh Kyung-soo’s photo cards over the years. She mentioned, “Fans unanimously mentioned that Doh Kyung-soo made a brilliant improvement on photo card selfies.”
Reacting to an official photo card from 2017 where he had a shaved head, Doh Kyung-soo said, “What on earth was I thinking? What’s wrong with me…?” This made IU laugh. He explained the context behind the photo, “There is a film called ‘Swing Kids’. I played North Korean army so I shaved. I think I took it back then. I remember taking that picture but I don’t know why. I guess I was a bit weird.”
Comparing it to a 2024 photo card, IU praised the significant improvement. Doh Kyung-soo attributed the improvement to the staff’s help, saying, “It’s still so hard to take selfies. The staff holds the phone for me. They compose the angle.” He added, “I tried hard to study it and tried taking it this way and that way. I hated myself on the screen!“
