On April 14, the YouTube channel TEO released a new episode of Salon Drip 2, featuring the main cast of the MBC drama Perfect Crown, including IU, Byeon Woo Seok, Gong Seung Yeon, and Noh Sang Hyun. The cast opened up about various behind-the-scenes moments from filming.
During the show, Jang Do Yeon brought up the now-famous wall kiss scene and commented that it must have been difficult to film. IU responded, “It was extremely hot,” recalling the challenging conditions.
She explained, “That scene had to look soft and fresh on screen. But I was wearing velvet, and Woo Seok was also in thick clothing, so it was really hot.”
Byeon Woo Seok added more detail, saying, “Since it’s a kiss scene, our noses touch, right? When it touched her cheek, it felt damp,” which made everyone laugh.
IU continued, “My nose kept sweating, so whenever we filmed the kiss, it left marks on his cheek. We had to keep fixing it,” revealing the unexpected difficulties.
When asked how many takes they filmed, Noh Sang Hyun questioned, “How many times did you do it?” IU answered, “Countless times,” while Byeon Woo Seok agreed, saying, “We really filmed that scene a lot.”
Although the moment appears brief and beautiful on screen, it required repeated takes to achieve the perfect result. The cast’s candid stories about the reality behind the scene brought laughter and added a relatable touch for viewers.
