ITZY’s Yeji and Chaeryeong are joining the mentor lineup for the SBS survival program ‘Universe Ticket’.

According to Sports Chosun, Yeji and Chaeryeong will appear as mentors on the large-scale girl group audition program ‘Universe Ticket’, where 82 multinational girls are participating. The final 8 members selected through this program will perform worldwide.

Yeji

Yeji and Chaeryeong will support the dreams and challenges of the ‘Universe Ticket’ participants as mentors. As 4th generation girl groups lead the K-pop scene, ITZY, a prominent idol group of this generation, will contribute to the birth of the next global K-pop girl group. Their role as respected seniors in the industry raises expectations.

Moreover, Yeji and Chaeryeong have a strong connection with SBS audition programs. Yeji appeared on SBS’s ‘The Fan’ in 2018, while Chaeryeong gained recognition from K-pop fans through her participation in SBS’s ‘K-pop Star 3’ in 2013 before her debut. Having experienced survival competition, they plan to provide warm advice based on their experiences to the participants of ‘Universe Ticket’.

Chaeryeong

ITZY recently received love domestically and internationally with their new song ‘Cake’. Their album ‘Kill My Doubt’ performed well on various charts, including reaching 23rd on the US ‘Billboard 200’, 13th on the ‘Artist 100’, 3rd on ‘Top Album Sales’, and 2nd on ‘World Albums’. Their performance that involves making and eating cake has become a popular challenge, capturing the preferences of Generation Z.
