ITZY suffers from malicious slander and sexual harassment? JYP’s strong legal response

JYP Entertainment, the agency of girl group ITZY, has declared a legal response without leniency or agreement. 

On August 14th, JYP Entertainment, which represents girl group ITZY, announced that they are actively collecting evidence through an internal and external monitoring system for various acts that damage the image, honor, and reputation of their artists. It is known that ITZY suffers from malicious slander and sexual harassment, alongside false information, illegal filming, and dissemination of fabricated materials. Therefore, JYP is currently collaborating with a professional law firm to pursue legal measures.

In addition, JYP emphasized that they will persistently take strong civil and criminal actions against acts that damage their artists’ character and hinder their healthy activities. No leniency or settlement will be considered during this process, the agency further stated. 

Meanwhile, ITZY released their new mini-album “Kill My Doubt” on July 31st and is actively promoting the title track “Cake”.

“Currently, we are closely collaborating with a professional law firm to undertake available legal measures against acts that maliciously defame, spread false information, sexually harass, illegally film, produce and disseminate false content, and overall damage the image and honor of our artists. We are meticulously gathering evidence through internal and external monitoring systems.

We will continue to take strong civil and criminal actions against acts that damage the artists’ character and hinder their healthy activities, and we emphasize that no leniency or settlement will be considered during this process.

We kindly ask fans to actively report if there is any evidence related to unlawful activities.

We will do our best to ensure that not only the artists but also all fans who love ITZY are not harmed.
