On September 20, JYP Entertainment confirmed that Yeji, Lia, Ryujin, Chaeryeong, and Yuna —the five members of ITZY—have all signed new agreements with the company.
“We recently completed early contract renewals with all ITZY members based on mutual trust,” JYP stated. “As ITZY continues to shine with their exceptional performances worldwide, we will provide our full support to help them expand their global reach and artistic capabilities.”
This announcement was first revealed directly to fans during ITZY’s fourth official fan meeting held at KBS Arena in Gangseo-gu, Seoul. The members emotionally shared the news with their fandom, MIDZY, expressing gratitude and promising to move forward together toward a brighter future.
“We wanted to show our gratitude for all the love we’ve received, so we decided as a group to renew our contracts. This decision was possible thanks to MIDZY. As soon as we all agreed to continue together, we wanted to share the news with you first. Moving forward, we hope to create many more happy memories together. Seven years felt too short, and there’s so much more we want to do. As always, we will stay by each other’s side. Please continue to support ITZY,” the members shared sincerely.

Aligned with their IT’z SUMMER theme, ITZY opened the event with hit songs like ICY and DALLA DALLA, setting an energetic tone for the day. The fan meeting adopted a “broadcast station” concept to symbolize the ON AIR theme, showing that they would give fans everything they desire.

Adding to the fun, each member took on a behind-the-scenes role: Yeji as camera director, Lia as stylist, Ryujin as audio director, Chaeryeong as art director, and Yuna as writer. They even performed comedic missions involving audio and subtitle errors, keeping fans entertained throughout the event.
The group also showcased their diverse talents with solo stages and group covers. Lia performed tuki.’s Bansanka, Yeji covered Nayeon’s ABCD, Yuna sang IU’s Twenty-Three, Chaeryeong performed Gain’s Pieona, and Ryujin sang Jungkook’s Standing Next to You. The five members closed with a high-energy cover of Wonder Girls’ So Hot, delighting the audience.

As the fan meeting concluded, ITZY shared heartfelt messages with their fans: “Over time, we feel the love and presence of MIDZY even more. We are always grateful for your consistent support. Preparing fan meetings is always fun because we anticipate what our fans will enjoy. This year was no exception, and we’re thankful that you had a great time. Our belief and love for MIDZY grow stronger with each event. Because of MIDZY, ITZY exists. We hope to spend even more time together in the future.”
Debuting in February 2019, ITZY quickly rose to prominence by sweeping rookie awards and establishing a reputation as K-pop’s performance queens. Their U.S. breakthrough came with the mini-album “GUESS WHO,” which marked their debut on the Billboard 200 chart. They later reached No. 8 on the same chart with “CHECKMATE.”
In 2024, the group completed their second world tour “BORN TO BE,” covering 28 cities with 32 shows—solidifying their status as a global live-performance powerhouse.
Looking ahead, ITZY is set to host a three-day fan meeting event in Tokyo, Japan from October 11 to 13, continuing their efforts to connect with international fans.
