Actor Lee Eol (Lee Eung-deok, 58) has passed away.

Lee Eol has been battling esophageal cancer since the end of the 2021 drama “Voice Season 4.” It was reported that he showed his strong will to beat the disease, but he has sadly left this world after a long time of fighting against it.

Lee Eol has left many impressive performances in various works such as the dramas “Watcher”, “It’s Okay to Not Be Okay”, “18 Again”, “Voice Season 4,” “Live”, and movies such as “Kim Ji-young, 1982”, “Insadong Scandal”, and “The 8th Night”.

In particular, he was loved for his lively characters, including “Hot Stove League” Dreams coach and Moon Young (Seo Ye-ji)’s father, Go Dae-hwan in “It’s Okay to Not Be Okay.” Earlier this year, he got the chance to meet the audience with the movie “The Policeman’s Lineage.”

The deceased’s mortuary was set up at the funeral hall of the Seoul Medical Center. The funeral will be held on May 28th, at the Seoul Metropolitan Funeral Center.
