Go Soo-jung passed away on February 7th, 2020 at the age of 25 as her condition worsened during the time she was fighting a brain tumor.
The news of Go Soo-jung’s death was announced on February 12th, five days after her death. At that time, her agency said, “Actress Go Soo-jung recently left the world and became a shining star in the sky. Her funeral was held quietly according to the wish of the bereaved family”, adding, “Go Soo-jung was a bright person with a pure and pretty heart. We will always remember her, who brighten the world with her shining smile”.
Colleagues were deeply saddened by the passing of Go Soo-jung. Paying tribute to the late actress, Kim Kyu-jin said, “Pretty junior actress… You’ve flown to the sky, Rest in Peace”. Kim Yeon-jun also mourned Go Soo-jung, saying “My beloved Soo-jung. You gave me strength just by your existence, so I’m feeling so empty right now. My sister was stronger than anyone else. I will be your friend and your sister forever. Don’t get sick anymore and rest in peace”.
Even now, fans are also visiting Go Soo-jung’s SNS to express her longing for her. They commented, “I still love you this year”, “Have you been doing up there in the sky?”, “I’ll never forget you”, “I’ll always love you”, etc.
Go Soo-jung starred in tvN’s drama “Goblin” in 2016. She impressed viewers with her role as one of the ghosts that Ji Eun-tak (Kim Go-eun) can see. Later, she appeared in JTBC’s drama “Slomon’s Perjury” and aroused keen interest with her participation in the music video for BTS’s Seoul promotional song “With Seoul”.
